Florida Multistate Operators Expanding

Several multi-state operators (MSOs) were expanding their operations in Florida’s medical marijuana market, which is one of the fastest-growing cannabis markets in the United States.

Trulieve Cannabis Corp. is one example. Based in Florida, Trulieve had the largest number of dispensaries in the state and was continually expanding its footprint both within Florida and in other states.

Other MSOs like Curaleaf Holdings, Inc., Liberty Health Sciences, and Surterra Wellness (now Parallel) have also shown significant presence and continued growth in Florida.

These expansions have been driven by Florida’s large population and the growth of its medical marijuana program. The state has one of the highest counts of registered patients in the country.

However, it’s worth noting that at the time of the last update, Florida only allowed medical marijuana use. Full legalization of marijuana could further drive growth and expansion in the state, and there have been ongoing efforts to push for this legalization.
